What is a city rally?

The scavenger hunt is an interesting mix of self-guided city tour, puzzle tour and outdoor escape game. You walk through the old town and solve puzzles at the most beautiful sights as part of our exciting story. Your cell phone will guide you to the various stations and through the story.

What is the procedure?

1. Find the right city here
2. Think about how many people you want to play with and how many groups you will be in (we recommend max. 6 players per group)
3. On the page of the respective city, you select the desired number of games in the booking form depending on the number of players
4. Enter a voucher or discount code in the voucher field, if available (the amount will then be deducted)
5. Enter your name and email address
6. Select the payment method and complete the order
7. You will receive an order confirmation from our payment provider Digistore24 with a link to the invoice
8. You will receive an email from us with information about the game and the login details for your access to the game
9. On the day of the game, you come to the starting point of the respective game with your team and at least one charged smartphone (with internet access)
10. Log into the game with the access data from our email
11. Read the rules of the game aloud and start the scavenger hunt with the introduction to the story
12. Our game takes you from puzzle station to puzzle station through the old town, where you solve the puzzles at the sights
13. At the end, you solve the final puzzle and the game is won

Do we need to make an appointment?

No, you do not need to make an appointment. The game takes place unaccompanied by a game master. You can play the scavenger hunt at any time.

How early do we have to book the scavenger hunt?

You can book the scavenger hunt directly on site and start playing straight away. If you want to plan in advance, you can also book in advance. Access to the game is valid for 1 year from purchase.

How many people can we play with?

We recommend a maximum of 6 people per group. This ensures that everyone can hear everything and participates well in the game. If there are more than 6 people, we recommend forming several groups and booking a game access for each group.

Can we play against each other?

If you are several groups, you have the option of playing with or against each other. You can either start a few minutes apart and see which group was the fastest. Or you can start at the same time and the fastest group wins. But be careful that the groups don't tell each other the solutions. If you want to play together, then all groups start at the same time and help each other with the solutions if necessary.

Who is the scavenger hunt suitable for? What is the minimum age?

The scavenger hunt involves walking through the city. You should therefore be able to walk about 2 to 3 kilometers. Wheelchair users should consider for themselves whether they can manage this route through the old town.

The puzzles are generally not suitable for children under the age of 11. We recommend the games for children aged 14 and over, as the children will then be able to solve the tasks well with little or no adult support, although there should still be one adult per group. With younger children, the adults will have to help quite a lot and breaks should be planned. From the age of 16, the youngsters can go off and play on their own.

Can we take a break during the game?

Of course you can! You can take a break at any time, see the sights, eat and drink something or even continue playing on another day.

Do we need to download an app?

No, you don't need to download an app. Our game is based on a web app, i.e. on normal websites that can be accessed just like any other website.

How do we navigate through the city?

At the beginning of the game you will receive a QR code and a link to a page with our special city map, where the puzzle stations are marked. You are free to choose the way there. You can scan the QR code with a second device and then have one device with the game and one with the city map. If you only have one smartphone available, simply open the link in a separate tab.

What do we need for the scavenger hunt?

All you need is one or two of your own smartphones or tablets with internet access per game group. In the dark, we recommend an additional flashlight.

What about bad weather?

You can simply start on another day if you haven't started the game yet. If you are already on the road, you can pause the game at any time and continue later or on another day.

What happens if we get stuck with a puzzle?

Each puzzle has three hints with varying degrees of help. The first hint tells you whether you are in the right place and where you should look. The second hint gives you a solution to the puzzle that will help you further. If it still doesn't work, the third hint will give you the specific solution.

What if we have technical problems?
